If the cat is feeling sick, other than a loss in appetite, a decrease in the water intake for 24 hours is also a sign which would lead to dehydration. Apart from that, watch out for occurrences of high fever, bad smell, abdominal pain, and vomiting.

In treating cat diarrhea, the cat owner can perform home treatment or can have the option to bring the pet to the vet clinic depending on the gravity of the condition. Initially, during the first few signs of weakness, you can give your pet foods that are easy and light on the stomach. Especially if the cause is a sudden change in cat diet, be more cautious in giving food. Always keep the cat hydrated to replenish the large amount of fluid that was lost.

Diarrhea becomes severe if the symptoms became serious especially after 24 hours. In this case, bring the cat to the vet for a better diagnosis. The veterinarian might be able to identify the underlying cause of the condition and prescribe medication for a quick recovery. Since diseases are unpredictable in our pets, one of the best ways to keep them from illness is to provide them with the right nutrition and regular vitamin intake.
